Rascal Print E-mail

Update - Nov 2009

"Here's a little greeting from us and Rascal:

Now, Rascal has been with us for over 2 months. He is a wonderful little dog who really has exceeded all our expectations.

To begin with, we want to talk about when we first met him, in his temporary home in Stockholm. He lived with another dog, which he of course played with as often as he could. When we got there, he was not very interested in us, he came up and saluted and then return to play with his dog friend. We did, however, see that he was a nice and friendly dog, who obviously did not understand who we were or what we did there. We decided that we would sleep on it before we decided on that Rascal was the right dog for us. When we would go from there went his temporary master and dog friend in at the gate. Rascal did not go into. He stopped abruptly and stood staring at us. Suddenly he speed and ran 15-20 yards up to us, to played and stroked! Need I say that we melted directly?

When we picked Rascal two days later, he corrected himself immediately in your lap and lay there all the way down to Skåne. We were surprised that he showed us such a huge trust directly. And so it has continued. He is incredibly cuddly and loving and when we are indoors, he would like to be close to us, preferably in your lap or arms. To be scratched on his stomach is a big favorite. When we are outdoors it is like to be full speed. Ideally, he is playing with balls or other round objects, such as apples, tomatoes or beets. He loves to run around as he may, and often he will when we cry ... We walk many long walks in the forest and you can really see how happy he is. If he also can swim, he becomes even happier.

We have trained call, go fine, search and more. He likes to learn new things and learn quickly, but if it shows up something more interesting (like a cat, rabbit or pheasant ...) so is obedience to have vanished. Other dogs may also be a bit too exciting. We will however begin to obedience, which is guaranteed to be rewarding and fun for us all three.

He likes everyone he meets, both large and small. By day he is with the office, where he liked to jump up and lies down on his knee on any requests. When he is alone he puts himself and usually asleep, and he even makes it happen for a bit when we are at home.

In short, Rascal is a wonderful dog, a perfect combination of activity and tranquility. We are so incredibly happy that we have the honor to give him a home. We had not even dreamed that our new family member would be such a tremendous source of joy and love. He really brightens our lives!

Sincerely, Catherine, Olle & Rascal"
